What is Freestyle Fitness Yoga?

Freestyle Fitness Yoga has evolved over 13 years, always including the latest fitness research, to enhance traditional yoga.  Every posture has a fitness benefit and the class is free from dogma and confusing terms.  Postures that exceed optimal ranges of movement or place unecessary strains on the spine and joints are not included.  Our ability to gain muscular strength, so improving the stability of our joints and spine, means continued imporvements can be made to our posture.  The mindful movements in Freestyle Fitness Yoga increase body awareness and the important muscle mind connection.  You will find that what you learn in the classes spills into your daily life as you continue to correct your posture and load your joints intellegently during daily activity.

"I  had been practicing a very alignment focused  form of yoga for many years, but when I started  Freestyle Fitness Yoga everything fell into place .  My practice became holistic and  natural  and my body  awareness increased more in a few days than it had over the last  10 years.  I can mindfully focus on how it feels, rather than  be distracted  by trying to be a yogi".   Jessica Parfitt

All Freestyle Fitness Yoga classes aim to improve posture, co-ordination and differet aspects of fitness.

High Energy Monday!

A fun and energetic class to start your week.  This class is more freestyle fitness than yoga.  Lots of standing postures are included to energise and a different theme is looked at each week.  This is a great core workout and will improve all areas of fitness.  Due to popular demand Monday has become more focused on toning, muscluar endurance, raising heart rates  and burning a few calories.  If you're after a more relaxing stretch why not try Wednesday?  You will work hard but always at your own pace.  Bring a warm top and bottle of water.
